Can non-U.S. residents play Mega Millions?+
Yes! There is no citizenship or residency requirement to play or claim a Mega Millions prize. Anyone from any country can purchase tickets and collect winnings.
What packages do you offer?+
We offer 6 ticket packages: 100 tickets for $19, 250 tickets for $34 (most popular), 500 tickets for $54, 1,000 tickets for $89, 2,500 tickets for $179, and 5,000 tickets for $299 (best value). The larger packages offer significantly better value per ticket.
How are my ticket numbers generated?+
Your ticket numbers are randomly generated using the official Mega Millions format: 5 white ball numbers from 1 to 70, plus 1 Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Each ticket in your package has a unique combination of numbers.
How do I know if I won?+
After each drawing (Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 PM ET), results are published on our Results page. You can compare your ticket numbers against the winning numbers. If any of your tickets match, you will also receive an email notification.
What taxes apply to lottery winnings?+
For U.S. residents, federal tax withholding is 24% on prizes over $5,000, plus applicable state taxes. For non-U.S. residents, the federal withholding rate is 30%. Some countries have tax treaties with the U.S. that may reduce this rate. We recommend consulting a tax professional for large prizes.
What is the difference between Cash and Annuity?+
For jackpot prizes, the Cash option pays a single lump sum (typically around 45-55% of the advertised jackpot). The Annuity option pays the full advertised amount in 30 graduated annual payments over 29 years. The annuity total is larger, but the cash option gives you immediate access.
When are the drawings?+
Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 PM Eastern Time (ET). Results are available on our website immediately after each drawing.
What are the odds of winning?+
The odds of winning the jackpot (matching all 5 numbers + Mega Ball) are 1 in 302,575,350 per ticket. However, the overall odds of winning any prize are approximately 1 in 24 per ticket. With a larger package, you have more independent chances. See our Odds & Prizes page for the full breakdown.
How do I receive my tickets?+
After completing your purchase, your tickets with all generated numbers are delivered to your email as a PDF document. You can view, download, and print them for your records.
